Getting started
Quickstart
Book your first meeting through the API in about five minutes: create a key, find an open time, book it.
- 1
Create an API key
In Calendeur, open Settings → API keys, name the key after the app that will use it and tick the scopes it needs. For this guide:
read:bookingsandexecute:bookings. Copy the key; it's shown only once.Terminalexport CALENDEUR_API_KEY="mcp_live_..."Keep keys on your server
Never put an API key in browser or mobile code. Call Calendeur from your backend and pass results to your front end. - 2
Check the key
Requestcurl https://calendeur.com/api/v1/me \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $CALENDEUR_API_KEY"You'll get the account name, its timezone and the key's scopes.
- 3
Pick an event type
Requestcurl "https://calendeur.com/api/v1/event-types?active=true" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $CALENDEUR_API_KEY"Copy the
idof the meeting type you want to book. - 4
Find an open time
Requestcurl "https://calendeur.com/api/v1/availability?event_type_id=EVT_ID&days=5" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $CALENDEUR_API_KEY"Each day lists open
starttimes in UTC, already filtered by the host's working hours, connected calendars, buffers and booking rules. - 5
Book it
curl -X POST https://calendeur.com/api/v1/bookings \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $CALENDEUR_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "event_type_id": "EVT_ID", "start": "SLOT_START", "guest": { "name": "Alex Morgan", "email": "alex@example.com", "timezone": "America/Chicago" } }'The response is the booking with its
join_url. The host's calendar now has the event, and the guest has a confirmation with a calendar invite.
